What was the reason I first downloaded Digit?
There were lots of small things I used Digit to save for, such as security deposits on the apartment I’m renting, a party on my 26th birthday gifts for Christmas, as well as a real estate investment I’d like to achieve shortly (we’re talking about a few years away). I didn’t want to pile the funds needed for all of the goals in one savings account. I’m an image-based learner, and I prefer having my goals separated, but organized. This is why I was attracted to the feature of saving buckets.
As I was just getting started on my financial wellness journey at the time, I enjoyed the thought of being able to scrape up as many savings as I could without the need to determine how much I could be able to save each month.
Can you take out the savings account?
Yes, you can close the savings account. To do that you’ll have to contact the bank which holds the account and give them instructions for closing it. Make sure you have the account’s number as well as routing numbers handy since you’ll have to give these details to the bank. You’ll also likely have to sign your name to authorize the closing of the account.
