How To Turn On Comments On YouTube

Youtube is a social media platform where you can view, upload and share videos worldwide. The site has become a popular destination for trailer releases, songs, new releases and more. With the Youtube Adsense program, many people have transitioned to professional vloggers in the field. However, the best part about Youtube is that you can read the comments when you watch the film. It’s become a customary practice as comments are now an element of the video.

However, there is an aspect that is negative to comments, too. If anyone can make comments on a video, it’s difficult to manage negative comments, spammers and trollers who could devalue the quality of the video. It is a publisher’s discretion to enable or block comments.

How to Turn Off Comments on a YouTube Video for a Specific YouTube Channel

1 Open your YouTube Studio app on your smartphone. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, download it from the app store.

2 Sign in to your personal Google account. Do not do this when you’re already signed into.

3 Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.

4 Choose Videos and choose the one where you’ll need to turn off comments.

5 Click the pencil icon on the right side of your screen.

6 Click on the Advanced Settings tab and move to the comment section.

7 The toggle will be turned on next to the Allow comments menu.

8 Select Save, and the comments will turn on for that particular video.

However, to truly manage any comments you make, you’ll have to make it happen using your computer. If the YouTube channel was created for children, you’re stuck to disable comments for your videos by default.

Your comments aren’t all negative. We’ll bet that the majority of your posts contain positive messages of encouragement underneath. This is why you should comment on your content on the occasions you can. Engage with your viewers.
