The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is near the Poconos border. It is a huge area of 70,000 acres, home to various waterfalls, pools, and plenty of spots to cruise on the Delaware River. Are you unsure where to begin? The headquarters are in Bushkill, PA, just a couple of hours from Center City, give or take.

Likely, an expansive city view isn’t the first thing you picture when you picture a swim in the wilderness. Perhaps the most urban open water swimming area of all, London Royal Docks promises an experience unlike anything else. It’s a stunning location with unparalleled cityscape views; areas are set aside for leisure and competitive swimming. If you’re training for the triathlon or want to take a dip in the pool, there’s something for everyone. The friendly staff will ensure you’re relaxed and taken care of, with the pool clean and regularly tested. If you decide to go to the store, ensure that you arrive ready since you’ll be able to change your card at the bank.
Chatfield Reservoir
It’s located in Chatfield State Park in the city of Littleton The Chatfield Reservoir is decked out with swimming areas that are roped off as well as sand and picnic areas. Because it’s so close to Denver and Littleton, the beach could be packed during hot summer days. However, it’s also big enough to be an excellent spot for those who travel in the company. There are plenty of restrooms, and you can also use the grill on a first-come basis. You can let Fido run free in the dog park nearby or grab a bite in one of the on-site concessions.
Bear Creek Lake Park

Need a quick aqua fix? Bear Creek Lake Park and its beach are located on Big Soda Lake, just 30 minutes from downtown Denver. Locals enjoy the clear, clean lake and its surrounding beach. There are no lifeguards on duty. However, there is a food stand and picnic areas on hand. Have a fun day by playing on the volleyball and playground. You can rent a kayak or paddleboard at the marina.
COASTAL VIRGINIA CHESAPEAKE BAY
Assateague Island National Seashore, located on Chincoteague Island, features the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. It is possible to spot wild ponies eating sea grasses!

The calm waters of the Chesapeake Bay, clean and rejuvenated by our proximity at the point of convergence with the Atlantic Ocean, make delightful holidays for families. Huntington Park is a 60-acre park with a beach for the public situated on the James River in Newport News. Lifeguards patrol the park, and concessions are offered throughout the summer.

Looking for Texas lakes to swim at but don’t like the murky waters? There are plenty of spots to swim in within the Lone Star State, but some are clearer than others.
Five of the top reservoirs that have the clearest water in Texas, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality These, are:
